Antique Japanese hexagonal bronze hanging lantern (tsuridōrō) with six panels of floral openwork, standing 38 cm high, 39.2 cm wide and 36.8 cm deep, dating from 1800–1950, with natural patina and signs of age in good condition for display.

This is a magnificent antique Japanese bronze hexagonal hanging lantern (tsuridōrō) featuring exquisite openwork floral patterns.
The lantern exemplifies traditional Japanese metalwork craftsmanship with its elegant six-sided form and delicate pierced decorations that allow light to filter through in beautiful patterns.
The lantern showcases masterful bronze casting techniques, with each of its six panels adorned with intricate floral openwork (hana-sukashi) that creates a harmonious balance between structure and ornamental beauty.
