"Integration" series
The project is dedicated to exploring the transformation of personality and the interaction between one’s inner world and the external environment. The work emerged from personal experiences and observations of the changes that occur within a person when the familiar confronts the new. Through working with colour and abstract form, I explore the processes of human adaptation in new conditions, the loss or weakening of basic identity, both cultural and psychological.
At the core of these works is the dynamic interaction between mainly two complimentary colours, enriched with a multitude of shades and accents. One color embodies a person’s internal emotional landscape— their aspirations, motivations, conflicts, experiences, and fears. The other color reflects the external environment, which may be entirely new—initially unfamiliar, alien, and full of challenges, yet also offering new opportunities and a sense of moral and ethical freedom—or familiar and comprehensible, yet having become alien, toxic, and rejecting of the individual and their beliefs.
This interplay, this internal conflict and its manifestations— the processes of acceptance or rejection by one’s surroundings, stress and its overcoming, learning, the initial incompatibility of internal convictions with new external conditions, their mutual influence, the search for mental resilience, and adaptation—forms the foundation of my project.

Bio.
Konstantin Danilov (b. 1979, Moscow) is a painter and muralist based in Athens, Greece. A pioneer of Russia’s 1990s graffiti scene, his practice evolved toward Color Field painting, blending bold spatial compositions with psychological and emotional depth.
He has exhibited at major institutions such as the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, RuArts Foundation, and Burning Man x Sotheby’s (New York). His works are part of notable collections, including the STRAAT Museum (Amsterdam), Montresso Foundation, RuArts Foundation, and Sofia Trotsenko Collection.
Danilov has held solo shows at Triumph Gallery, Fineart Gallery, and Reloft Art in Moscow, and has participated in international fairs such as Urban Art Fair (Paris) and Affordable Art Fair (Amsterdam). His street art projects span over 20 countries, from Hong Kong to Paris and New York.
His work explores themes of emotional perception, ecological fragility, and transformation of personality and the interaction between one’s inner world and the external environment, including in the context of emigration. Using techniques such as painting around the edges of the canvas to reflect the hidden emotional layers that frame our conscious experience.
