Description from the seller

Val Saint Lambert – Exceptional centerpiece « Pont et Tournants » complete in cut crystal, Belgium, 1913

One of the most beautiful and rare achievements of the Cristallerie du Val Saint Lambert at the height of its pre-war expertise: a monumental centerpiece entirely composed of four detachable elements, hand-cut from a crystal of extraordinary purity and thickness.

The size is deep, virtuoso, and perfectly regular.
Large radiating palmettes in a fan shape that extend from the center outward.
Very deeply crossed diamonds forming a star-shaped network.
Finely serrated and notched upper borders.
Vertical sides sculpted with prism-like facets that diffract light like a diamond.
Every detail is crafted with a precision that leaves no room for error: the points are sharp, the hollows deep, and the hand-polished surfaces shine with rare intensity.

Precise composition
- 1 large central piece 'Bridge': length 31 cm, maximum height 11 cm, usable height 45 mm, weight 1100 g
Two majestic arches connected by a suspended platform.
- 2 intermediate 'Tournants' pieces: length 21 cm each, useful height 45 mm, weight 650 g per piece (1300 g per pair)
Oblong shape with cut sides, same spectacular size.
- 1 central link diamond: length 13 cm, height 5 cm, weight 300 g
Pivot element machined on all its faces that locks the entire assembly.

Total length once assembled: about 76 cm.
Total weight: 3700 g of pure crystal.

Exceptional condition for a piece from 1913.
No visible chipping to the naked eye on the exposed parts.
All points and edges remain perfectly sharp.
The crystal is of absolute transparency, with no bubbles or veil.
Its crystalline sound is very high and very long when it is lightly tapped.
Only a few microscopic traces under the bases (strictly invisible once the entire setup is assembled).

An object that commands respect: placed on a table, it captures and reflects light in all directions, creating a true fireworks display of reflections. Very rare in complete condition and in this size quality.

Extremely careful worldwide shipping
