Description from the seller
Swiss watchmaking
Moulinié Frères & Cie - Geneva
It was active in the first half of the 19th century. This workshop was known for producing high-quality pocket watches, often made of gold and featuring elaborate decorations, crafted for the market or for collectors. These watches can be found at auctions held by auction houses such as Christie's and Coutau-Bégarie.
Wonderful jewelry watch in a captivating 18K gold case with extraordinary enamel on the back and a rare decorative dial as well as a rare case shape.
Great case in excellent condition. This type of watch was probably only handcrafted upon the customer's request.
White email dial with a decentralised offset time dial featuring gold Roman numerals and outer minute markers. In the center, an attractive semi-floral wreath and leaf circle around the central hand shaft. Very fine steel hands with ring inlay - gold-colored. On the upper side of the time dial, an impressive semi-floral wreath also in miniature painting. Winding at the two o'clock position. Very good condition of the dial.
Enamel bezel in flower shape - flawless
Pendant with decorative ball and embellished eyelet.
The finest back side again features the flower shape with 12 leaves, designed in two colors, green and white — all painted in gold — with a flower depiction also in the center.
Dislocation under the VI
Fine gold-colored work - signed by Moulinié frères & Cie in Geneva
Auzug key also available for setting the time.
Work is functioning.
Watch production around 1830
