This is an original, vintage golf set by John Letters / Cathy Panton from around 1980 in very good condition, with irons featuring steel shafts and heavily chromed heads, three traditional hardwood Driver woods, and a Scottish tartan carry bag included.
Description from the seller
This John Letters / Cathy Panton golf set (made in Scotland) is unique of its kind because it features an original classic VINTAGE (circa 1980) golf set that has not lost its beauty or condition due to age. The irons have steel shafts with clubheads that are heavily chrome-plated. The grips of the clubs are in excellent condition (not dried out). The three Drivers Woods are traditionally made of hardwood and are in very good condition, as are all parts of this set. In short, a very fine golf set.
A unique opportunity for collectors, enthusiasts, and especially for stores selling golf articles (as an attractive and unique eye-catcher) to purchase this set. But more importantly, these golf clubs can actually be used to play golf.
A set inherited from my Scottish mother-in-law, who kept this set in the original plaid Scottish vintage golf bag after her golf career (as her pride and joy) in a corner of the living room in her house. The bag, in which the golf clubs are photographed, is included in the sale price.
The golf set can be picked up or shipped. The packaging and shipping costs are the responsibility of the BUYER and total at least 39.20 euros (registered and insured shipping up to 500 euros). Catawiki requires that the shipping details be filled in, and therefore, the shipping costs cannot match the actual shipping costs incurred by the seller (as a minimum amount). The buyer will pay the actual shipping costs. Customs (import) costs are also the responsibility of the buyer.
Attention: the set will only be sold to bidders within Europe. The seller reserves the right not to accept and not to deliver a bid lower than 300 euros.
Note: An independent expert in the field of Vintage Golfsets estimates the sale price to be between 450 and 850 euros. Catawiki should accept the LIMIT amount of 300 euros so that you, as a potential buyer, are not disappointed by the fact that the seller has explicitly stated that the sale limit is 300 euros. If Catawiki refuses to accept the limit and the seller is forced not to set a limit, then the fault lies with Catawiki.
