The Chinese artist Zhuang Hong Yi came to the Netherlands in 1992 during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. He initially lived with his family in Groningen and later moved to Dordrecht and The Hague. These days, Zhuang Hong Yi lives half in Switzerland and half in Beijing. As early as 2000, Zhuang Hong Yi had his first solo exhibition at the famous Groningen Museum. His second, even more successful, solo exhibition was in 2006.
