Beautiful antique wooden frame, richly carved in the Louis XIV / Baroque style, characterized by embossed ornamental elements, foliate motifs, shells, scrolls, and classical moldings. The outer band alternates gold parts with lacquered inserts in a dark mahogany tone, creating an elegant contrast typical of French frames from the late nineteenth century.
The internal profile features a golden groove followed by a beaded band ('perle') running along the entire frame. The corners and midpoints of the sides are embellished with large carved ornaments, creating a strong decorative impact.
