Description from the seller
Original and very unique artwork, directly from the artist's studio! Renowned artist with international sales and exhibitions.
Mixed and artisanal technique (based on own photography) on sustainable wood. The photograph is attached to the wood and accentuated with acrylic paint. Subsequently, Damar resin and light yellow beeswax are burned onto it using a unique and authentic developed technique. This makes the artwork very rich in texture, primarily consisting of random vertical lines (created by the burning process of the resin/wax).
Used materials, among others: wood, photo, acrylic paint, damar resin, light yellow beeswax, and matte varnish.
Hanging conditions: never outdoors, in direct sunlight, or in humid environments.
The top layer of the artwork consists of a special varnish that protects it against dust. The piece is signed on the back by the artist. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity. The artwork is carefully and professionally packaged and shipped insured. With the Track&Trace code, the package can be tracked all the way to your door.
When purchasing two or more works at the same auction, you only pay shipping costs once.
Rouzbeh Tahmassian, an established visual artist from Rotterdam. His work has been sold and exhibited worldwide for over 15 years. The unique combination of techniques and materials, along with expressive sculptures, makes his work highly popular.
With a strong presence and success on leading online platforms and galleries, the demand for his work has grown enormously in recent years. His work is mysterious and stimulates the viewer's imagination. His art is constantly evolving and is not limited to figurative work; it also includes abstract art, portraits, and sculptures.
As the artist himself describes: “I use many different materials such as wood, paint, (bees)wax, sanguis, gold and silver, cotton, and various types of resin. The frames are set beforehand, but the creative process only begins after the first stroke is made. In this, I let myself be guided by my feeling. There are then no limits to what I can do. I am always looking for a new effect, a new image, seeking the unknown. I feel that there is always more to discover.”
