Firenze, 1871. Binding in half-leather and cloth, smooth spine with author, title and embellishments impressed in gold. XI pages including catchword and title page, 349 numbered pages. 5 plates out of text, of which one depicting a panoramic view of the city of Turin and the Alps, taken from Superga (sketch by Bignami), 1 facsimile of a letter sent to the author, 1 sheet with three portraits of Grandi, Sommeiller and Grattoni, the Italian engineers who designed and directed the work of the Frejus Tunnel, 1 plate with a facsimile of a letter sent to the author by General Manabrea, a noble Italian diplomat, 1 plate repeatedly folded depicting the geographic territory of Moncenisio and surrounding areas. Copy in good conservational condition, binding slightly worn at the corners.
