Description from the seller

Beautiful faience beard plate with a notch, intended for men's grooming, hand decorated with a polychrome floral motif. In the center, a large stylized blue flower is surrounded by green foliage.

French work from the late 18th century attributed to a southeastern center, most likely Varages.

Two unmarked.

Good condition shaving tray. Only the marks from the fittings. Rare for an 18th-century piece.
