Very beautiful illustrated edition by Paul-Emile Colin with 24 monochrome wood engravings within the text and 8 large outside-text wood engravings.

Limited edition of only 120 copies, this one being number 91 out of 109 on Whatman paper.

In sheets within a printed folder, and a portfolio in half-brown Morocco leather with corners, with double gold borders along the covers and corners, gold title on the back, the front cover decorated with a golden tiger head, and fabric laces serving as a clasp.

Very nice example. Faded leather on the clasps and corners. Interior clean and fresh, in very good condition.

After the war, Paul-Emile Colin (1867-1949) published this third album of engravings, this time accompanied by a text by Pierre Mille: 'India in France.' The subject will be the presence in France of exotic troops: the Indian contingent of British troops.
