Beautiful edition for bibliophiles adorned with 11 erotic compositions by Paul-Émile Bécat: original etchings, including one as a frontispiece.
Limited edition of 488 copies, all on grand vélin d’Annam BFK de Rives paper, with this one being number 228 out of 195 numbered from 99 to 293, enriched with a supplementary suite with remarks.
Amusing libertine story from the 18th century attributed to Louis-Charles Fougeret de Monbron (1706-1761). The author's first work, published in 1741: a knight, for having refused the desires of the fairy Crapaudine, finds himself transformed into a sofa and becomes the support for all amorous encounters (see Pia, Dictionary of Erotic Works, p. 81).
Binding: volume in sheets, under a vellum-covered cover, accompanied by a double slipcase in green felt.
Condition: Very good example, fresh and clean. Solid and clean casing.
