One handmade cobalt blue glass amphora‑shaped vase, hand‑blown with two clear applied handles, 18 cm high, 11 cm wide, 10 cm deep, weighing 987 g, dating to 1960–1970 with vintage mid‑century modern styling, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and no chips or cracks.
Description from the seller
Classic hand-blown cobalt blue glass vase – amphora / urn shape – with applied clear handles.
This elegant cobalt blue vase is a beautiful example of classic hand- or mouth-blown glasswork.
Shaped like an amphora or urn, it features two clear, applied glass handles that create a striking contrast with the deep blue body.
A rough pontil mark on the underside, along with the thickness and subtly organic shape, clearly indicate its handmade origin. The vase is completely intact: no chips, no cracks.
Inside one of the handles, several linear air bubbles can be seen, along with three very small lines at the attachment point of the same handle. Both handles remain firmly attached. These details are consistent with authentic handcrafted glass rather than mass production.
There is no maker’s mark present, so the exact origin is unknown. However, based on its characteristics, it can be associated with Murano-style Italian glassmaking or high-quality Polish art glass.
A refined and collectible piece for lovers of hand-blown glass.
