The Chronograph Challenge Timer, introduced in 1973 as Citizen's first full-fledged chronograph watch, was affectionately known as the “Horn Chrono” due to its push buttons positioned at 12 o'clock on the case, which resembled horns.
Based on the ‘Citizen Collection’ Record Label Horn Chrono, which revives the design of the original Chronograph Challenge Timer, a limited edition model featuring design motifs inspired by popular Star Wars characters is now available.
The dial features a body mold of R2-D2 expressed through embossed and debossed press-molded patterns.
A white base color effectively incorporates blue and red accents to capture R2-D2's distinctive look.
The R2-D2 visible through the small dial at the 6 o'clock position is also a charming feature.
