For sale is a classic dinner service from the popular 'Rusticana' series by Villeroy & Boch Mettlach. The service features characteristic landscape and farmer depictions executed in bold red, framed by richly ornamented floral-geometric borders. The underglaze copper print technique ensures a permanently brilliant and durable coloration. All pieces bear the original Mettlach mark as well as the decor name 'Rusticana'.

4 underplates: diameter approx. 17 cm
Large sauce boat: H 8.5 × 21 × 14 cm

The decorative, historicizing motif depicts idyllic rural scenes with farmhouses, animals, trees, and detailed landscapes, complemented by the characteristic floral border in the typical 'Rusticana' style. The large tureen with a lid serves as the focal point of the ensemble, while the two sauce dishes – one in a generous, flowing shape and the other more compact – complete the service functionally. The plates and saucers feature the lightly relief-edged design that is typical for this series.
