Founded in 1997 in Lyon, Ninkasi takes its name from the Sumerian goddess of beer. Initially specializing in brewing, it launched its first single malt whisky in 2018 and now offers bottlings primarily aged in wine or cognac casks, thus showcasing French winemaking expertise. This Ninkasi set includes a single malt aged in an ex-Côte de Nuits red cask and then finished in an ex-Pineau des Charentes white cask, as well as a Grape Ale that was aged in the same Côte de Nuits cask after the whisky was finished. This gift set invites you to discover the connection between malt and grape through a tasting of these two drinks, either in two separate glasses or in a boilermaker, following the Irish tradition of combining whisky and beer in the same glass.
