Description from the seller

Victorian silver bracelet with box clasp and gilded details.

Typical Victorian bracelet with a box clasp and safety clasp, made of silver with gilded details. This type of bracelet was widely worn in the 19th century and is recognizable by its belt-shaped construction with a decorative buckle.

The top side is more elaborately decorated with a fine dotted pattern and geometric relief ornamentation, combined with gilded accents. On one side, there is an additional ornamental motif. The bottom side is simpler in design.

On the tongue of the clasp, there is the silver hallmark 800, along with the Dutch tax hallmark in the form of a small wolf, used during the period 1831–1893. This perfectly aligns with the dating of this Victorian bracelet.
The bracelet does not appear to have been repaired or restored and, considering its age, is in a condition appropriate for its age.

800
Dutch small wolf (tax regulation, 1831–1893)

Strap width (top side): 1.9 cm
