Gustave-Adolphe Mossa, also known by the Germanized name Gustav-Adolf Mossa, which he used until World War I, was a French symbolist painter and illustrator. He was born on January 28, 1883, in Nice, where he died on May 25, 1971.
In the field of painting, like his father Alexis, he created numerous landscape watercolors. He practiced expressionism, producing, between 1903 and 1904, one hundred and eighty-nine ink and colored pencil drawings, caricaturing both socialites and religious figures at times, showing interest in small trades or current events, signed Mossa or Karl Joël (exceptionally Karl Joris) in homage to Huysmans.
Signed; Gustave-Adolphe Mossa
