Signed gilded sculptural table lamp – Unique designer piece – Artistic work in metal – 20th century
Rare sculptural table lamp with a gold finish, made of metal crafted through an artistic rather than industrial process.
The base features a highly expressive composition, blending organic shapes, textured reliefs, and integrated metallic elements, giving the piece a very striking visual presence.
The metalwork is handcrafted, assembled, and textured by hand, in a spirit close to the brutalist movement and the creations of designer-artists of the second half of the 20th century. Each face of the lamp offers a different interpretation, confirming that it is a work conceived as much as a sculpture as it is a light fixture.
The lamp is signed directly on the base (signature visible in the photographs). The artist has not been identified to date, but the signature and the nature of the work indicate a creation by a designer or workshop, made as a unique piece and not part of a mass production.
The conical lampshade, intentionally understated, highlights the sculpted base. When lit, the light reveals the warm reflections of the golden finish and emphasizes the depth of the textures.
