Illustrated with 244 vignettes and
50 hors-texte chromolithograph plates, hand-retouched and drawn from nature under the direction of Mr. Leroy in the greenhouses of Mr. Guibert, in Passy.
In very good condition, half leather binding in navy blue.
All floors are protected by a serpentine.
Ex-libris in the name of Jean-François de Montigny: Jean-François de Montigny was an administrator of the Genealogical and Heraldic Office of Belgium (OGHB) for many years (at least since 1957). A tribute was paid to him in the magazine Le Parchemin in May-June 2007, the year this ex-libris was created.
