Stefano Nurra, 'Golf levels' (2025), is a limited edition acrylic painting on gesso in a modern style, 40 x 40 cm (4 kg), with green, white and black tones, depicting three horizontal bands including a green lower band with a golf flag and a miniature golfer, sold with frame, hand-signed, edition 1/1, origin Italy, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
The work is composed of three broad horizontal bands alternating between white and green, created through compact and textural layers that give the surface an architectural and almost landscape-like character. The chromatic rhythm generates an essential structure, where the pictorial space appears calibrated and measured.
The lower green band introduces the only figurative elements of the work: a small golf flag and a miniature golfer, rendered with a concise yet precise stroke. The two figures, placed at the ends of the section of the field, activate a micro-silent narration that interacts with the abstract expanse of the surfaces above.
The central green band, intentionally left empty, emphasizes the contemplative dimension of the painting, transforming it into a visual interval that amplifies the distance between human gesture and landscape. The contrast between the monumentality of the color fields and the delicacy of the miniatures creates a refined balance, where the golf course becomes a mental space of waiting, concentration, and suspension.
