A quietly atmospheric landscape by Willem C. Rip, depicting a thatched cottage set among tall trees on the edge of a still watercourse. The sky is rendered with soft, textured brushwork while the dark greens of the foliage and the reflections in the water create a calm, intimate mood characteristic of Rip’s oeuvre.
