Description from the seller
Exceptional sculpture by XTC Artist:
Large cone of Mc Caviar Bordeaux with metallic gold finish and its mother-of-pearl spoon.
It is painted with metallic red / Bordeaux paint. It measures approximately 19 cm high, weighs about 1 kg, and is mounted on a plexiglass / Perspex (PMMA) base measuring 15 x 10 cm with a thickness of 15 mm.
Designed and made in molded resin, fully painted and varnished. Of course, filled with caviar made by me, with its genuine mother-of-pearl spoon.
This design will be produced in only 8 copies and 4 EA.
Probably XTC's most iconic work to date, in pearlescent white metal and gold.
Reimagining a McDonald's cone as a luxurious dish in fast food style? Not so impossible!
Signed and numbered on the right side of the base, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The sample sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful packaging and tracking
Born in 1978, XTC (Instagram: XTC.Artist) has shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual research has turned into a passion, which had to be realized. XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, part of the Pop Art movement, by the diversion of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity is expressed through the audacious staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald's, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne or Caviar) and Street Art, blurring a little more the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastic materials, and sometimes minerals. He draws inspiration from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising and addictions in general, among others.
Any defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
