First edition illustrated travelogue 'Florence and some Tuscan Cities painted' by R. C. Goff, with 75 full-page colour plates, 262 pages, published in 1905 by Adam and Charles Black in English hardback, 23 × 17 cm, in very good condition.

This first edition travelogue showing Florence's famous landmarks (Ponte Vecchio, Santa Croce) and other Tuscan towns like Pisa, Lucca, and Viareggio. This book served as both a beautiful art collection and a practical guide to the region's culture and architecture.
The book is wonderfully illustrated with 75 striking full page colour plates, captioned on the tissue guards by Colonel Robert Charles Goff and descriptive text by his wife, Clarissa Goff,
Published by Adam and Charles Black, London (1905). Publisher’s original red boards, decorated and lettered in gilt all over the upper cover and spine. Top page edges gilt.

The book is beautifully bound, designed and illustrated. Firm and well bound copy. External covers are in nice shape, minor age related marks, and light wear to corners and edges. Internally the book is in very good condition. A little name on first blank front free endpaper page. Pages are clean, with light foxing to the margin of some pages throughout. The text is fresh. The attractive illustrations make this a truly beautiful title (Please see pictures).
