Saïdou Dicko (1979) - La sieste sous le manguier

Saïdou Dicko, born in 1979 in Déou, Burkina Faso. He lives and works in Paris.
At the age of 5, Dicko, a Peulh shepherd, learned to draw by collecting the shadows of his sheep on the Sahel's ground. A self-taught painter and photographer since 2005, he enjoys juxtaposing opposites to speak to us about equality, unity, and maternal love. Through his installations blending video, photography, and painting, he presents poetic works that reveal him more each day.

Awarded at his first Off exhibition at the Dakar Biennale in 2006, he is now featured in many international events (biennales, fairs, exhibitions).
