Kirsty Wain’s original acrylic painting on paper, Sierra Bernia View - NO Reserve, 2025, 48 x 63 cm, signed on the front, one of a kind, in excellent condition, depicting a Mediterranean landscape with a blue balustrade, white stucco houses and pink-mauve mountains.
Description from the seller
This is a vibrant and inviting original acrylic painting on paper that captures a quintessential Mediterranean view. The piece is characterized by its bold use of colour, expressive brushwork, and striking composition, making it a wonderful example of contemporary landscape painting.
The painting frames a stunning vista through a brightly coloured, arched opening in shades of turquoise and cerulean blue. In the foreground, a distinctive blue balustrade (likely a balcón or balcony railing) is rendered with thick, energetic strokes, contrasting the bright blues with dark green foliage popping through the spindles.
The central scene depicts an idyllic Mediterranean village of white stucco houses with terracotta roofs, surrounded by vibrant palm trees and deep green shrubs. Above the village, the view is dominated by the majestic Sierra Bernia mountains, which are painted in unexpected, dramatic shades of pink and mauve. This choice of colour imparts a warm, atmospheric glow to the entire landscape.
Kirsty Wain's technique employs rich texture and dynamic layering, capturing the intense light and colour of the Mediterranean coast. This piece is a captivating and decorative work that evokes the warmth, serenity, and dramatic beauty of the Spanish landscape.
The artwork will be professionally packed to ensure safe transit, either shipped flat between protective boards or carefully rolled in a wide, heavy-duty art tube, depending on the safest method. Shipping is insured and includes a tracking number. A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is included.
