A traditional Bizen ware hanaire flower vase by Yukiyoshi Soshin (行吉素心), dating from 1970–1990, in excellent unused condition, with tomobako, original yellow cloth, and leaflet; dimensions H 24.6 cm, mouth Ø 4.7 cm, base Ø 9.7 cm.
Description from the seller
A traditional Bizen ware flower vase (hanaire) crafted by the veteran artist Yukiyoshi Soshin (行吉素心).
Purchased approximately 30 years ago and kept in home storage; never used.
The piece displays classic Bizen characteristics—natural ash glaze effects, warm earthy tones, and a beautifully balanced form with two decorative lugs on the shoulders. The artist’s impressed mark is clearly visible on the base.
Included with the vase:
- Original signed wooden tomobako (box)
- Original yellow cloth
- Original leaflet/paper
The vase itself is in excellent unused condition, with no cracks or chips. The wooden box shows minor age-related deterioration, consistent with long storage.
Dimensions:
- Height: 24.6 cm
- Diameter (mouth): 4.7 cm
- Base diameter: 9.7 cm
A fine example of contemporary Bizen craftsmanship, ideal for collectors of Japanese pottery.
