Original drawings from Marten Toonder Studios have always been very rare, and that will never change. On December 1, 2010, the cultural heritage of Marten Toonder (all the work that Marten Toonder himself created) was officially transferred by the heirs to the Letterkundig Museum Leiden and has since been owned by the Dutch State. In November 2018, the archive of the Marten Toonder Studios was donated to the Literature Museum in The Hague and the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam. See the last photo. The chance of original drawings coming onto the market is therefore very unlikely.
Marten Toonder Studio's star Frits Godhelp (1927-2009) was connected to Marten Toonder's company for nearly 50 years starting from January 11, 1943. He contributed to various comics, such as Tom Poes, Panda, Koning Hollewijn, Kappie, and Olle Kapoen. For Tom Poes Weekly, he created some of his own strips, such as 'Bas en van der Pluim.' Godhelp was one of the few artists on permanent staff at the studios. Until the early 1990s, he worked at Toonder Studios alongside colleagues like Hans Kresse, Piet Wijn, Ben van 't Klooster, Ben van Voorn, Jaap Lamberton, Wim Lensen, and Richard Klokkers. However, he collaborated most intensively with Marten Toonder.
