Well-bound with the cover and margins preserved, in a luxurious half-morocco binding of deep green with corner pieces, gilded fillets along the covers and corners, a rounded spine decorated with a fine Art Nouveau-style design composed of gilded fillets, a red morocco title piece, and gilded initials, a lovely gilded iron featuring a flower with petals mosaic in red leather. Gilt head.

In good condition despite the leather rubbed on the spine, cuts, and corners. Unsoiled spine. Interior clean and fresh, with some foxing spots on the guards. Very nice copy, bound in a well-made binding.

Summary: During the Seville carnival, André Stévenol encounters a young Andalusian woman, exchanges a quick promising sign with her, and immediately seeks to see her again. But he learns little more than her first name. He then inquires with his friend Don Mateo, who startles at the mention of Concha, and decides, in order to warn him, to tell him the story of his painful adventure with the young woman whom he was a puppet of.
