The lampshade is handcrafted following the technique developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany, founder of the Tiffany Studio in New York at the end of the 19th century. Each piece of colored glass is carefully placed in its frame and set with craftsmanship.
The base is made of Delafino resin with a beautiful antique bronze finish with black felt on its base.

How to recognize a genuine Tiffany-style glass?
It should be noted that stained glass produces a different sound when tapped, especially on large surfaces, which emit a deeper and duller sound than ordinary glass.
This is quite normal for authentic Tiffany-style lampshades, as handcrafted glass contains more minerals, which affects its resonance.
Copper foil packaging absorbs high-frequency sounds, and textured surfaces create unique acoustic properties.
Rest assured that plastic imitations cannot reproduce this natural behavior of the material.
A quick test to determine the authenticity of a stained glass window:
The heat resistance test. (Caution: perform with care)
Gently apply a flame to a less visible area inside for 2 to 3 seconds.
Authentic glass will show no damage, while imitations (plastic/acrylic) will melt or deform.
