Description from the seller

Hi-Rnd print on canvas, framed

All the LITO artworks that are made on Canvas - will need up to 30 days for shipping.

Limited edition of 150 in collaboration with the Musée d’Orsay.

This limited edition print was created in collaboration with the Musée d'Orsay, based on a scan of the original artwork. All our products are custom-made in our factory in Bregenz, Austria, and feature our patented LITO Hi-Rnd technology. A portion of our proceeds is donated to the partner museum.

Among Van Gogh’s most famous works, The Church at Auvers was also the centerpiece of the exhibition Van Gogh in Auvers-sur-Oise: The Final Months at the Musée d'Orsay (2023–2024).

After his time in the south of France—first in Arles, then in the psychiatric hospital at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence—Vincent van Gogh settled in Auvers-sur-Oise, a village near Paris. During the two months between his arrival in Auvers on May 21, 1890, and his death on July 29, the artist produced around seventy paintings—more than one per day—as well as numerous drawings. This painting is the only one Van Gogh dedicated to the church in Auvers. Built in the 13th century in the early Gothic style and flanked by two Romanesque chapels, the church becomes, under the artist's brush, a radiant monument that seems ready to break apart under pressure from the ground and the two paths that encircle it.
