Het puttertje met katten is a 2020+ oil painting by Borgen Lindhardt, hand-signed, from the Netherlands, sold with its frame, depicting animals in the wild in a Dutch Golden Age style, measuring 33.5 by 28.5 cm.
Description from the seller
Visible part: 17 x 12 cm
Panel: 18 x 13 cm
List: 33.5 x 28.5 x 3.5 cm
With a wink inspired by the famous work of Fabritius in the Mauritshuis, 'The Goldfinch', and her own fondness for cats, an original work by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt.
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht (1996). Uses Borgen Lindhardt as a signature name and is known for her 'kimono series,' inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. Creates oil paintings where old masters are combined with personal elements (cat, painting supplies, and fantasy figures) to form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by a visible thick brushstroke. She shifts from detailed, imaginative, and playful work to fluid, sketch-like paintings.
Comes directly from the artist.
Is framed in a very beautiful warm brown frame with a gold decorative edge, with some signs of use.
Will be well packed and shipped with track & trace.
The painting is protected with a layer of retouching varnish. After drying time (about a year), please apply a final varnish yourself to preserve the gloss and color.
