The Muonionalusta is a meteorite classified as a well-octahedrite, type IVA (Of), which fell in northern Scandinavia, west of the border between Sweden and Finland, approximately one million years before our era.
The first fragment of the Muonionalusta was found in 1906 near the village of Kitkiöjärvi. [1] Today, about forty pieces are known, some of which are quite large.
