Felipe V of Spain, called 'the Brave', (Versailles, December 19, 1683 – Madrid, July 9, 1746), was king of Spain from November 16, 1700, until his death in 1746, with an interruption from January 16 to September 5, 1724, due to his abdication in favor of his son Louis I, who died at a young age on August 31, 1724.
