Description:
This ornament is inspired by the rich silver-smithing traditions of the Miao minority from Guizhou province in Southwest China.
The central relief depicts a female figure on a horse – a classic symbol of protection, prosperity, and the connection between family and ancestors.
The four small bells hanging at the bottom are used in Miao culture to attract happiness and ward off negative energy.
This piece is made in silvered bronze, in the style of the Qiandong Miao.
It is traditionally worn during wedding celebrations, New Year's celebrations, and important rituals.
Framed, it forms an elegant tribute to Miao craftsmanship and symbolism.
The hanger is mounted in a sturdy metal frame with a passe-partout.
