Description from the seller
Stelio Fenzo, Jungla 29, Blood on the Marsh, original plate no. 78 from this story published in Italy in 1969 by Edifumetto, then in France in September 1971 in Jungla 15 under the title 'Blood on the Marsh' by Elvifrance, and finally in collection no. 5 in March 1973.
This sheet by Stelio Fenzo reveals his energetic and expressive line work, supported by a powerful inking that alternates dense black masses with quick washes to structure the space.
The opening feature demonstrates his mastery of urban perspectives: an overhead view, very clear composition, schematic yet lively silhouettes that animate the scene.
Fenzo works here with his usual sense of movement, accentuating the narrative tension through a dynamic gestural style and marked contrasts.
In the second vignette, the angular modeling of the faces and the attention paid to the uniforms highlight his taste for dramatic realism and graphic efficiency, consistent signatures of his work at Edifumetto.
Technique: Indian ink
Dimensions: 22 x 15.5 cm
