Raghad, Vestige d'un Songe, mixed media on synthetic plaster, unique edition, based on an original sculpture created in 1982, dimensions 66 × 30 × 13 cm, hand-signed.
Description from the seller
Synthetic plaster casting of an original sculpture created in 1982 (at 21 years old). Designed during my first year at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, it reflects the influence of ancient civilizations worldwide and a pursuit of expressive freedom.
I chose to isolate this torso — inspired by Assyrian aesthetics and the tales of One Thousand and One Nights — to present it as a modern fragment. The bust has been reworked using my current technique: epoxy, wood pulp, wood fibers, and my blue clay. A dialogue between classical form and contemporary material.
