Tissot Seastar Automatic, a stainless steel men’s watch with automatic movement and a tonneau-shaped case from the 1970s, featuring a silver dial and visible wear in good vintage condition.
Description from the seller
We present this Tissot Seastar Automatic, an iconic model from the 70s that stands out for its tonneau case aesthetic and unmistakably retro presence. It is a fully vintage piece, with marked signs of wear that add authentic and honest character, ideal for collectors seeking watches without invasive restorations and with visible history in every detail.
Box
The stainless steel box retains its original shape and its characteristic bulged design from the 70s. It shows dents, scratches, and noticeable wear, especially on the front areas and edges, evidencing prolonged use over the decades. Despite the aesthetic wear, it maintains its structural solidity and original curvature without signs of deformation.
Sphere
The silver dial reveals a deep and very pronounced patina, with visible craquelure, scratches, and alterations typical of a watch that has not been tampered with or repainted. The applied indices and inscriptions remain legible, reinforcing its appeal as a genuine vintage piece. The date window correctly frames the number, maintaining its visual functionality.
Needles
The hands show slight oxidation and wear on the luminous mass. They remain straight and aligned, maintaining aesthetics and functionality consistent with their period of manufacture.
Crystal
The acrylic crystal shows deep scratches, microcracks, and noticeable signs of wear, very characteristic of an acrylic without restoration. The buyer can choose to keep it in this condition for authenticity or replace it if they prefer greater clarity.
Movement
Equipped with vintage Tissot automatic movement. There is no recent service history available, so preventive maintenance is recommended if optimal accuracy or intensive use is desired. The date advances correctly as visible in the images.
Corona
The signed crown with the “T” from Tissot remains original, with superficial wear but in good working condition.
Bracelet
The steel bracelet, integrated style, is in good overall condition, with moderate signs of use. The clasp is functional with an emblem. It does not correspond to the original factory bracelet, although it appropriately matches the watch's aesthetic.
Remarks
Vintage piece in unrestored condition; retains all of its original character.
Ideal for collectors who value watches that tell their story through their natural wear.
Recommended service if intended for daily use or refined precision.
Representative Tissot model from the 1970s, increasingly rare in the market.
Shipping
The watch will be shipped with secure packaging, additional protection, and a tracking number, ensuring it arrives in optimal condition.
