Beautiful illustrated work under a pseudonym, after the First World War, by the great Czech artist Kupka, who was then living in France.

Includes 20 light-colored compositions by Kupka, including the cover, the double-page title, 8 full-page works, and 9 headers, engraved on wood by E. Gaspérini.

Copy of a choice edition bound in a beautiful binding signed by Petit in half burnt orange morocco with corner tips, spine with raised bands decorated with the title in gold lettering, gilt top. Covers and spine preserved. In excellent condition. Solid and clean binding, impeccable interior.

Limited edition of 600 numbered copies, this one being number 274 out of 500 on vat-debossed vellum paper.

Enriched with an original unsigned drawing created with ink and watercolor (see photos).

André Ferdinand Herold. French poet, born in Paris in 1865, student of the school of Chartres and the School of Higher Studies, collaborated with numerous reviews. A delicate, elegant, and tender poet, he published lyrical collections.
