Enriched copy with a beautiful handwritten letter signed by Henri de Régnier: [My dear friend, my relations with Le Mercure are well known enough for me not to consider myself obliged to publicly protest against the regrettable article by Mr. ... on Gabriele d'Annuzio, published in the March 16 issue. My silence could be taken to imply tacit approval of the judgment passed on the great poet whom I love and admire both in his work as a writer and in his heroism as a soldier. Bound in a fine half-cherry morocco binding with corner tips, with gold lines along the covers and edges, spine decorated with lines forming panels, title in gold lettering, gilded top. Covers and spine preserved.

In very good condition. Well-made binding, showing minor scuffs on the corners and edges. Impeccable interior.
