Omega – Trésor “Crab Legs” – Swiss Iconic Brand Watch – 1950s
A magnificent and elegant vintage Omega Trésor from the 1950s, featuring the distinctive “Crab Legs” 14K gold-filled case — a hallmark of refined mid-century Omega design. With its warm golden dial and graceful small seconds, this watch embodies the golden age of Swiss watchmaking and the timeless beauty of simplicity.
Case: 14K gold-filled, 34 mm, elegant “Crab Legs” lugs design – classic and sophisticated.
Glass: Acrylic glass.
Dial: Golden dial with a small second subdial and a gentle natural patina, adding depth and character; applied golden indexes and dauphine hands.
Water resistance: Untested.
Movement: Swiss mechanical Omega movement – hand-wound.
Functions: Hours, minutes, small seconds.
Strap: Generic leather strap, fits a wrist of up to 22 cm.
Condition: Grade B – with signs of use consistent with age.
Box: Generic.
Story:
Introduced in the late 1940s, the Omega Trésor was created as a symbol of understated luxury — a watch for the modern gentleman who valued refinement over extravagance. The name Trésor, meaning “treasure,” was no coincidence: it described both the watch’s inner precision and its outer grace. This 1950s example, with its rare “Crab Legs” gold-filled case, represents one of Omega’s most elegant designs of the post-war era. The soft patina on its golden dial tells the story of time passed beautifully — not as wear, but as history written in light. Beneath its warmth beats a precise Omega hand-wound movement, built to last for generations.
Every Trésor from this era is more than a timepiece — it’s a bridge between artistry and engineering, between the human hand and the heartbeat of time. This watch remains a quiet testament to Omega’s enduring philosophy: that true elegance never fades, it simply matures.
