Oil on Isorel signed Déborah Jones depicting a young girl on a bed with her dolls.
Deborah Jones is a self-taught painter born in Cardiff, best known for her imaginative shopfronts and trompe-l'œil works. During World War II, she settled in London where she mingled with members of the International Ballet Company. She then developed a passion for theater, designing and painting sets, producing props and costumes for the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne Opera, the Edinburgh Festival, the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as for television and film. She traveled extensively and exhibited notably in Italy (Positano), the United States (Chicago and New York in 1952), and of course in London (solo exhibition at Liberty's) and Brighton (Florentine Gallery).
