Tavannes is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1891 by Henri-Frédéric Sandoz and played a significant role in watchmaking, particularly in the development of wristwatch movements. The company supplied many other manufacturers such as Jaeger-LeCoultre and Cartier.

Year of manufacture of the watch around 1940.
Beautiful original dial. Signed TAVANNES below the twelve. Interesting time dial with black Arabic stick numerals. Outer seconds-minute track with inner Arabic 5-number markers. Very outer blue telemeter scale. Three additional scales in the center, two auxiliary dials. Small seconds at nine o'clock. 30-minute counter at three o'clock. Blued spear hands.
Caliber Venus 150 - Movement in original condition - silver-colored - chatons, gold wheels, and ruby jewel stones. Signed TAVANNES.
