Katrin Hoffert (born 1968 in Berlin) is a contemporary artist known for her innovative work in painting, collage, textile art, and mixed media. She studied Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK) and completed her studies as a master student under Peter Bömmels and Katharina Sieverding. Hoffert's artistic practice combines classical painting techniques with conceptual approaches influenced by photography, digital image culture, and visual perception processes. Her work questions viewing habits and reflects on the conditions of contemporary image production.
Throughout her career, Hoffert has exhibited in numerous institutions and project spaces in Berlin and internationally, including Kunst-Werke Berlin as well as various group and solo exhibitions. She has been awarded scholarships and prizes such as the Neustart Kultur scholarship and the special prize of the Neuköllner Kunstpreis. Her works are part of private and public collections. Hoffert lives and works in Berlin.
