Dante Alighieri; Luigi Pietrobono - La Divina Commedia - 1933

Rare pocket-sized edition of the Divine Comedy, complete with Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso, published by Società Editrice Internazionale, Turin, in 1933, with brief notes by Luigi Pietrobono.
Red cloth binding with gold titles and embellishments on the spine; small travel size format, thin paper, frontispiece with a pasted portrait of Dante on the front endpaper.
General conditions: good for its age but with defects; the penultimate page with the first list of songs is missing, there are various underlinings and pink pencil marks (mostly erasable), a slight dark stain on the lower part of the cover, and normal yellowing of the pages, with the binding still solid.
An interesting item as a testament to Dantean teaching in the early twentieth century and as a small collectible volume, ideal for collectors of popular editions of the Commedia or books from SEI Torino.
