Bibliophile edition of Maurras's work, limited to 351 copies, of which this is one of the 230 on Rives B.F.K. (no. 242).

Illustrated edition of 20 color compositions and numerous woodcuts within the text (initials, banners, tailpieces) by Raymond Renéfer, pseudonym of Jean-Constant-Raymond Fontanet (1879-1957).

Maurras's work, which included several contributions published in various periodicals, was published in 1901. For the record, Maurras was sent in April 1896 by the Gazette de France to cover the Athens Olympics.
The work is dedicated to Gustave Janicaot, Director of the Gazette.

Well bound in a half-ebony morocco binding with corner tips, spine with raised bands, title, author, and year of publication stamped in gold. Gilt top. Covers and spine preserved.

Condition: scuffs on the caps, nerves, and corners. Impeccable interior. Very beautiful, uncut specimen.
