Gijsbert Hanekroot (Brussels, 1945) began his career in 1969 and worked for magazines and newspapers in the 1970s. His career as a photojournalist fit perfectly with the explosion of the rock scene. This resulted in portraits that are natural and intimate, relaxed and sincere. And in dazzling concert photographs.
The photographer is represented by Blitz Gallery, Tokyo, Blue Lotus Gallery, Hong Kong, Mondo Galeria, Madrid, Proud Galleries, London and ONO-Arte, Bologna, Loft 11 Gallery, Munich, Dots Gallery, Belgrade and Tone & Image Gallery, Schiedam, Netherlands.
