In excellent condition of the binding, the work is in its original full brown calf from the period, with signs of use, the lower headcap damaged, a cracked board, rounded corners, red edges, minor worm damage at the top of the spine, decorated spine with raised bands, gold lettering on a red morocco piece, and cold-stamped borders framing the covers.
Good interior condition, browning, texts in two columns, work enriched with geographical maps on fold-out plates, marbled endpapers.
