Description
Homage to Balthus (2008) continues the work of Michel Pinel around the nude and the female portrait, where natural light and the simplicity of the pose reveal a deep humanity.
The model, photographed from the waist up, faces the camera, dressed in an open lace shirt, with a calm and direct attitude. The artist pays homage here to Balthus's pictorial universe, evoking the tension between modesty and revelation, while maintaining the formal rigor characteristic of his photographic work. The print, made by Pinel himself on baryté paper, demonstrates his mastery of the silver process and his attachment to the materiality of the print.
Condition
Excellent condition. The print is perfectly preserved, with no alteration of the paper or traces of handling. The inscriptions and the stamp on the back are clear and perfectly legible.
