Maria with Child – porcelain – Old Brussels – End of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century.
Professionally shipped – more than 850 five-star reviews worldwide.
This porcelain figurine depicts Mary with the Child Jesus on her arm. She looks at Him with a gentle gaze, while Jesus raises His hand in a blessing gesture. Mary's cloak is decorated with gold accents that give the figure a sense of movement. The child wears a blue loincloth, a color that refers to heaven and purity. On the front of the foot, the inscription 'Marie' is engraved.
Height approximately 24 cm. In good condition with a small flake on the right rear corner of the pedestal and light signs of use on the gilding.
